Hemp bread with hemp seeds

Try baking your own bread at home using hemp flour and hulled hemp seeds. It tastes delicious with a fresh vegetable salad or as bruschetta with tomatoes and hemp seed oil. :-)

Ingredients of Hemp bread
- 100 g wheat flour
- 50 g hemp flour
- 1-2 teaspoons hulled hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon linseed
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
- ½ - 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or hemp seed oil)
- Yeast mixture:
- 100 ml water
- 7 g dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Preparation
Yeast Mixture:
- Crumble the yeast into a bowl.
- Add the sugar and lukewarm water, mixing until dissolved.
Bread Preparation:
- In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour, hemp flour, hulled hemp seeds, linseed, sunflower seeds, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and enough water to form a smooth dough. Let it rest, covered with a cloth, for about 30 minutes.
- After resting, knead the olive oil (or hemp seed oil) into the dough.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly sprinkle with wheat flour.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Make a few cuts on the surface of the loaf with a knife.
- Sprinkle a little more wheat flour on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
Note: Wheat flour can be replaced with gluten-free flour if desired.
